We had guests who came out from the Valley to the O.C. A special thanks to graph artist Insa (and Emma) from England and to our Cassette family (Terence and family) from Hong Kong, thanks for taking time out to drop by and say hi. On the behalf of Cassette we want to say thank you to all those who came out to preview cassette’s new Fall 2007 Homme and Femme collections, thanks for all your positive feed back.

This wouldn’t have been made possible without: Jennifer, James, Jae, Billy, Vanessa, Alex, Josh, Jesse, Lauren, Ki and the staff at American Rag Cie.
Thank you.

A few weeks ago a lond time good friend of ours, Yuske told us about Yone’s show over at the Reed Space as well as Fafi’s show in N.Y. to with Le sport sac. (Yuske knows I am a huge fan of both Fafi’s and Yone’s work.) He also has been working with Parra of Rockwell for a number of years now. He told me to check out Parra’s show when it comes to L.A. Last’s nights show was at the D.T. Standard. Open bar from 7-10pm. After party at the roof top/pool for invited guest…… Which then carried on to La Cita…..But I had to go home to burn a little midnight oil….

Thanks for the canvas Parra.

Rob Hamada’s words:
The idea behind this project was to create the most unique editorial possible. Many of the models come from a very historic lineage. Clark Gable, greatgrandson of Clark Gable, Dree Crisman, Earnest Hemmingways greatgranddaughter, Kian Mitchum, Robert Mitchums grandson, Margarita Kallas and Sean K, the current face of Sisley. Then styled by some of the most exciting new designers, The Cinch, House of Cassette and Brian Lichtenberg. All based on the aesthetics of French New Wave cinema and film noir to give a very sharp edge to a classic look.

The new SOMA magazine, featuring one of our favorite bands Blonde Redhead with Simone (far right) wearing a pair of cassette jeans. They are one of our favorite bands because from song to song and album to album their sounds are totally original. If you ever get a chance to hear them live you’ll agree Kazu, Amadeo, and Simone know how to mix art with performance. They are true artists that have been playing together as Blond Redhead for 15years strong. Can’t wait to see you guys live again.

Thanks Joanne and Barbara, we gotta hang out.
Theme Magazine: Even though we have a subscription to the magazine, Theme is one of those magazines I will buy at a news stand even though I know one is coming my way shortly. Maybe it’s because every issue is totally different than the previous issue? Maybe it’s because I want to see the incredible people Jiae and John has connected with for the new issue? Maybe it’s because Jiae and John can articulate such an interesting perspective and make it come to life.
In all cases, Theme is one of those rare magazines I can’t wait to flip through..

A friend forwarded an article that mentioned us today.
Thanks Mary H.K. Choi for acknowledging Cassette and where we draw part of our influence from.
